ABOUT DJ MH2DA

DJ MH2da — The Energy Architect

DJ MH2da has spent more than 21 years turning a love for music into a career that has taken him far beyond the DJ booth.

Recognized as one of Chicago’s premier DJs, MH2da has built a career spanning concerts, festivals, destination events, corporate engagements, nightlife, weddings, private celebrations, radio, television and film. From commanding crowds of thousands to creating the perfect atmosphere for an intimate room, his ability to understand the audience and meet the moment has remained at the center of everything he does.

Known as “The Energy Architect,” MH2da earned the name through an ability that can’t be taught by simply learning how to mix records: knowing how to build a room. His open-format style, deep knowledge of music and more than two decades of experience allow him to move comfortably across genres, generations and audiences without forcing the moment.

That versatility has made MH2da equally at home performing on a major stage, representing a brand at a corporate event, setting the tone at an upscale wedding, or controlling the energy of a packed nightclub. Every room is different, and he approaches it that way.

His career has continued to grow beyond performing. In 2017, MH2da created Daycation, his signature event experience. He has appeared as a DJ on Showtime’s The Chi and in the film Ignite Your Love. As President of the Soul Selector DJs, he also holds a leadership role within the DJ community, while his work in radio and independent media through Eastside Certified has expanded his role as a curator, programmer and tastemaker.

Through all of that growth, the foundation has stayed remarkably simple: show up prepared, understand the assignment, respect the audience and deliver.

Twenty-one years into the journey, MH2da is still behind the decks, still evolving and still adding chapters to a career built one room, one crowd and one unforgettable moment at a time.
